Arrests by NSCDC on Oil scandal in Ondo state

Ondo State Command of the
Nigeria Security and Civil Defence
Corps (NSCDC) has arrested
twelve suspected oil vandals,
destroyed over 40,000 litres
diesel and confiscated 2,200
litres in the riverine area of the
state.
In its effort to end illegal oil
bunkering and pipeline
vandalism in the country,
according to the state Public
Relations Officer (PRO) of NSCDC,
Mr. Kayode Balogun, “Ondo state
command has destroyed more
than forty thousand (40,000)
litres diesel oil stored in surface
tanks and drums in Ugbo, Ilaje
Local Government Area of the
state and nabbed 12 suspects in
connection with bunkering
activities in the riverine area of
the state.”
He revealed that the operation,
which was carried out by the
combined team of anti-vandal
and armed squad units of the
command at about 5:30am on
Thursday morning, arrested the
suspects.

The state security service (SSS) also known as th Department of state services (DSS) was on tuesday morning 7th of july 2015, arrested a group of protesters at oshogbo, state of osun capital.
At was gathered that the protesters which consist of state of osun workers , were protesting for their unpaid salaries an pensions.
The state government of osun has however deployed the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) as well as the Swift Action Squad (SAS) to die down the chaos caused by the protesters at oshogbo.
A protester was quoted saying ” i haven’t been paid for some months now and i am a family man, for me and my family to survived, i turned to an okada rider (motorcyclist).
At was reported earlier that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has arranged for the sum of FOUR hundred Billions of Naira (#400.000000000) to all the states that owed their workers.
